"Long distance relationships are, in my opinion, so much better than regular relationships. It’s not all about sex, it’s not all about the bullshit feelings in relationships that everyone has now. It’s about getting to know them better than anyone ever will in person, it’s about getting to let them know you, letting someone into your life who you know you can’t see everyday, or whenever you want. It’s about getting excited at hearing their beautiful voice, which to you is your favorite sound. You actually fall in love with every part of them. You learn to know their mood by the way they type. The way their voice changes when they’re tired. The way that just seeing their face, whether it’s in a picture they uploaded or in a snapchat they sent you, gives you butterflies. Although, it’s hard at times. Not being able to pull them closer to you for a hug. Not being able to feel their lips against yours. Not being able to be with them when you crave their company most. But when you’ve been counting down the days, and days feel like weeks, and weeks feel like months, when you finally see them, your whole world just pauses as soon as your eyes meet theirs, as soon as you feel their warm skin brush against your hands, and their soft lips on yours, all of that no longer matters. It’s all been worth it. You cherish every second you have with them. Purely because you know what it’s like, you properly know what it’s like, to not have them by your side when you need them most. You just feel euphoric."
"You’re there. I’m here. This hurts."
